Bed Bath & Beyond is closing 150 more stores across the country.
This news comes just a week after the retail giant announced its closure.87 Betten Bed Bath and Beyond, along with five buybuy Baby locations and all remaining Harmon Face Value stores.
With the additional 150 locations closed, the physical presence of Bed Bath & Beyondalmost halved.
"In response to today's evolving shopping preferences, this target store base includes the company's most profitable locations and the best geographic footprint for customers that can enable a great Omni experience," Bed Bath & Beyond said in a statement. statement to TODAY.com.
In August 2022, the retail giant showed signs of significant financial trouble. Sue Gove, President and CEO,announced plansadjust senior management and close approximately 150 stores to adopt a no-nonsense, back-to-basics philosophy focused on better serving our customers, driving growth and increasing business returns.”
The latest round of closings comes shortly after the company announced it had reached an agreement with Hudson Bay Capital Management to raise $1 billion in financing to avoid bankruptcy.
